Saarland University is a research-driven university with a strong focus on computer science, nanotechnology, sustainability and European studies. The campus hosts a number of leading German research institutions, including two Max Planck Institutes, two Leibniz Institutes, two Fraunhofer Institutes and a Helmholtz Research Center.
